Santorini Greece is an island full of fantastic and mysterious wonders. It has attracted millions of visitors, but this tourist attraction holds a deep and mysterious behind it. Santorini Greece is currently situated on a volcano that had erupted during 1500 BC, this eruption was thought to be so catastrophic that the ancient Minoan civilization was destroyed by this very cause. This eruption resulted in consistent and powerful earthquakes, leading many to correlate this eruption with the legend of Atlantis. Due to the explosion of the volcano, some historic landmarks were damaged but thankfully still remain intact. After architecture, one can take a look at the breathtaking views of the islands Caldera which is an enormous caludron-like depression, which was due to a volcanic eruption that occurred in the Aegean sea 3500 years ago. This natural landmark is now filled with water creating a beautiful view that is to be admired for generations to come.
