CENTRAL PARK (Yes, the one in the center of manhattan)

You've probably heard of central park, but have you ever explored every little corner of it yet. Probably not since it takes about an hour to solely walk around the entire park. Central Park is 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles long, it extends all the way from 59th street all the way to 110 streets occupying an area of 840 acres. Central Park offers many interesting vistas including a zoo, ice-skating rink, lakes, open-air theatre, children's playground, athletic playing fields, fountains, and various monuments. The monuments include the 307th Infantry memorial growth, African antelopes, a standing figure of Alexander hamilton, and Alan Lomax tablet. Before Central Park was created, the place belonged to Senacca village, a community predominated by African-Americans. It provided them refuge and an escape from the crowded city of New York. Then, in the 1850s, the state legislatures wanted to build a large park to counter the unhealthy urban conditions of NY. Further on, the plan was taken into action and the central park officially opened in 1876 still being a great achievement of NY. During the park's construction, about 5,000,000 trees and shrubs were planted. Therefore, the park is filled with trees and greens where you can go for a walk and enjoy the natural breeze. The park has numerous footpaths and bicycle paths so you will never end up getting lost. Or if you feel tired walking, hop on a horse or carriage to take a fun ride. Central Park is overall a very chill and calming place that is welcomed for everyone to visit. Hop onto a subway to central Manhattan and visit this giant park someday. Especially during the fall with a fantastic image of the treefalls.
